This Printmaking Project was influenced by the race riots that took place in York, PA in 1969. This particular piece is about the murder of Lillie Belle Allen that took place on Newberry Street. I believe this project was the most interesting for me because of my grandma. She was alive during this time period and had experienced it, so hearing her stories really influenced me to make this piece.
